ICEBERG :: (super) Interactive Pavilion

ICEBERG Pavilion all the way from Canada to Belgium
Wander, wonder, pose and impose
Unbelievably comforting sound composition by Jean-Sébastien Côté for ICEBERG pavilion designed by, the Canadian firm, Appareil. Such an interesting project doesn't only show the best teamwork effort sculptured into one final output but it also exhibits a great mindset and competent driving concept...
This architectural formula comes all the way from Canada to raise our awareness about global warming. To heighten our awareness, I believe they had to instigate our senses through this interactive pavilion and attract our attention to this vital global issue.

I have recently experienced Iceberg in Brussels in Christmas period while visiting my parents and I was taken there to view how stacks of aluminium could bring about the most of us through directing our senses while walking under its levelled, iceberg-shaped, metal pieces.

Varied colours, soothing sound, smooth/reflective texture and refreshing air attract pedestrians to take a journey through the pavilion's body in which it divides and declares a busy vast space.

You can watch the accompanied video below to get an insight. [Mind you this video set is in Montréal not in Brussels]
