Extension for the Museum de Fundatie. Dutch studio Bierman Henket made this out of the ordinary volume to contrast the original Palace of Justice. By creating this controversial layering, Bierman Henket studio made it possible to create a space for temporary exhibitions which comprises 2 floors.
Art Cloud, as it is called, provides panoramic view of Zwolle city from its partly glazed spacious creation. This added structure is an addition to a very former and formal building but yet it communicates well with it as well as with the surroundings especially with the sky [ of course depending on weather] since its façade is composed of wedged-shaped tiles glazed in white with blue accents.

Bolles + Wilson is yet proving that whatever the building structure is, the programme could adapt regardless. An example is their recent kindergarten that has made its space in a former church. Through conversion of certain aspects, the area felt more like children scaled zone. I like how the architects have introduced skylights to incorporate natural lightning although the former old church has only small windows to let light in. Also the entrance to that special place is quite funny in contrast to the whole outer scheme.
