Manchester in 3 pictures

Hi!

As I am spending my time away from MCR for holidays, I thought of revisiting iPhoto and share some  Mancunian compelling images with you. I found 3 interesting pictures I took while I was in MCR on a day the weather was absolutely fine. You can see the Victorian architecture below at it's best and obviously you can see how historic the style is.

Living in Manchester for quite a while, I grew to like the architectural details and the old type of buildings however I  am uncertain if I still appreciate modern architecture as much as I was before living in England. It really hit me when my brother came back the other day from England and his first impression was very negative of the country. My brother is, body mind and soul, American so his perspective on viewing England is quite different. To be honest, he wasn't appreciative to the historical architecture what he told me again and again that they seriously should consider demolition, development and enhancement!
I wasn't shocked of what he said because I felt the same way when I first came to England. Actually, it wasn't the culture that shocked me but rather the architecture! Now? I am in love with the Baroque, Victorian and Renaissance architecture. I am studying it, applying it and naturally I am admiring it.

Oh well. Consider visiting England if you haven't yet.. it is a place of grandness.. it is a place of history

Have a great christmas eve,
